(Per Press Association.) Nat* inn, December 5. In the Supreme Court yesterday, William Wilson, of the Armed Constabulary, was again tried on a charge of perjury and acquitted. Peter Trees, for maliciously wounding a mare, and John Driscoll, for horse stealing, was also acquitted. Auckland, December 5. Charles Wesley attempted suicide last night at the Queen’s wharf, by drowning. He was crossed in love, and his reason is unhinged. Francis Duran, a French seamen, was stabbed in the face on Wednesday by Edward Dumont, who has been arrested.
