Assault on a Shanty Keeper.

[Own Correspondent. J Dunedin, December 4. William Meldrum, shanty keeper at New Thorn, was assaulted at midnight on Mon* day by three men named Lawrence Whitei Thomas Crowley, and Gerald Fitzgerald. Meldram died during his removal to the hospital. Crowley and Fitzgerald are in custody, and the police are looking for White.
