[Own Correspondent.] Wellington, December 3. The Customs revenue for the colony for for November is £95,397 4s 4d, the amount for the corresponding month of last year being £106.402 9b. The beer duty last month was £4,784 5s 4d, Arrangements for the direct mail steam service with Great Britain has been satisfactorily settled. The first steamer will leave England and New Zealand respectively on the 20th instant. The postal difficulty with the Home authorities respecting the despatch of letters has been adjusted. Mr. Stout’s absence from Wellington will extend over some weeks. Sir Julius Vogel leaves for the Hot Springs in a fortnight. W. Bishop, an old resident, formerly agent for McMeekan, Blackwood <fc Co., died yesterday. Respecting immigration Government have decided to fulfil all existing obligations and engagements, but no further nominations of single women will be received at present. In cases where the husband is in the colony and family, at home, the latter may be nominated.
