[Own Correspondent.] Wellington, December 2The Premier left for the South yesterday. Sir Julius Vogel and Mr. Buckley are the only Ministers left here. William Waring Taylor was committed for trial on Saturday for misappropriating shares of the Bank of New Zealand, the property of James Arundel. Bail was allowed, himself in £l,OOO and two sureties of £l,OOO each. Further charges are pending. Under the regulations for Small farm settlements mentioned by Mr. Ballance at Wanganui, associations may purchase not less than a thousand nor more than ten thousand acres, at a price to be arranged between the Association and the Minister, payable, onetenth prior to allotment of the sections, and the remainder in half-yearly instalments extending over six years, with other regulations similar to those prevailing in Hawke’s Bay.
