Banquet to M.H.R.

[Own Correspondent.] Hokitika, November 21. A complimentary benefit was given last evening in the Town Hall to Mr, J. Bevan, M.H.R., on his (.return from Parliament. Over 150 gentlemen were present. His Worship the Mayor presided, and Mr. Seddon, M.H.R., was present as a guest, congratulations were expressed at the change of Government, and Messrs. Bevan and Seddon were complimented on their support of the present Ministry. The names of Sir Julius Vogel and Mr. Stout were greeted with great cheering.
