[Own Correspondent.] Napier, October 29. North’s boat-shed at the western Spit was burned dotvn yesterday morning. Two valuable outrigger boats and a quantity of boat builders stock and tools were destroyed. Some of the tools belonged to the workmen, and a subscription is being raised to replace them. The body of Mr. Tall, drowned on Friday night, was recovered about 60 yards from where it fell in the water. At the inquest yesterday afternoon a verdict of found drowned was returned, with a rider that life saving appliances should be placed on the wharf and a nightwatchman appointed for the wharf.
