Wairoa News.

[Own Correspondent.] Wairoa, October 27. The investigation of the title of the Whakapunake and Mangapoiki blocks, before their Honors Judges Brookfield and Williams, was concluded on Saturday last. It is expected that judgment will be given to-day. Much dissatisfaction is expressed by the Upper Wairoa settlers at Government refusing to grant a direct mail service to Gisborne, which would be a great boon to a large number of settlers between Frasertown and Patutahi, who have to go a long distance for their mails, besides opening up a large area of Crown lands intervening, and uniting the two parts of the electorate.
