Effigy Burners in Trouble.

[Own Correspondent.] Wanganui, October 6. Three of the ringleaders in the late effigy burning of Mr. John Bryce were fined 40s. each on Saturday for burning rubbish without giving notice to the Town Clerk. The Magistrate deprecated the practice as useless and hoped it would not occur again.
