The Hinemoa’s Trip.

[Own Correspondent.] Napier, October 3. The Herald's Wellington correspondent wires that the proposed trip of the Hinemoa to Gisborne and Napier has been abandoned, several members having set their faces against a repetition of Parliamentary excursion trips on the score of economy, the late trip to Kawhia having cost the country £220 at least. Wellington, October 3. It is understood the Hinemoa will leave for Gisborne to-night, taking members on a trip. She will call at Napier on the return journey.

An urgent telegram received by his Worship the Mayor this afternoon, states that owing to the Government having made Monday a day for Government business, the members could not undertake the proposed excursion.
