[reuter’s telegrams.] London, September 26. The Australian and New Zealand mails, which left Auckland on August 19th, were delivered in London to-day. Sir Hercules Robinson, Governor of Cape Colony, threatens to resign unless a decisive British policy in regard to Bechuana Land is announced. An electric launch for Australia has been successfully tried on the Thames. September 27. Mr. Gladstone has returned from Scotland to his seat at Hawarden Castle. Paris, September 27. The French Chamber of Deputies is summoned to meet on October 14th, for the despatch of business.
