Attempted Murder.

[Own Correspondent.] Naseby, September 26. A brutal assault case was dealt with yesterday at the Magistrate’s Court, Naseby. A big powerful man, named Adam Scott, was charged with wounding an eccentric individual named William Hayes, a man of small stature. The affair occurred over a drinking bout, and the evidence showed that Scott used a butcher’s knife and a stirrup iron, stabbing Hayes in several places, and also attemping to cut his throat. Scott was committed for trial.
