Wellington News.
[Per Press Association.] At a meeting of the Wellington and Hawke’s Bay members this morning there were nine present—seven from Wellington and two from Hawke’s Bay. It was decided to agree to the nomination of three Southern men on a Committee to consider the best route for the North Island Railway. With respect to the railway between Wellington and Napier it was also decided to wait until the financial proposals of the Government were before the House, and the deputation will be appointed to wait on the Government urging the construction of the line.
