The Soudan War.
[Reuter’s Telegrams] . Cairo, August 20. The Nile is falling steadily. The passage of the cataract, by which it was proposed to convey the British expedition to Khartoum in boats, is now impassable, and it is believed that the despatch of the proposed expedition via the Nile valley and Dongola will be abandoned, and the troops be dispatched from Souakim across the desert, by way of Berber to Khartoum.
