[Per Prels Association.] Wellington, August 19. A guard of honor has been ordered for today, when the Governor formerly opens Parliament. The ease of G. Thorne, jun., and the Government Insurance Company, will be taken in the Supreme Court on the 26th inst. Yesterday afternoon Sir George Wnitmore was sworn in as a member of the Executive Council without portfolio.
