[from our own correspondent.] Wellington, August 19. Captain Morris was sworn in to-day, and now holds the portfolio in the new administration ; thus filling up the vacancy so long standing. It is stated that Judge Fenton will be called on to assist the Ministry. [Per United Press Association.] It is understood that Captain Morris, of Tauranga, has been offered, and accepted, the vacant seat in the Ministry, and also that the portfolios he will take are Justice and Customs. Later. Captain Morris was sworn in at noon to-day as Commissioner of Customs.
