Survey Party Turned Back by Armed Natives.
(Per Press Association.) Wanganui, August 16. Information has reached town that Thorpe’s survey party, at present in charge of Mr. Pemberton, has been turned back by an armed party of natives, who are said to have threatened them if they proceeded further with the survey.
