Wellington News.
(Pirn Pbusb Association.) Wellington, August 13. It is stated that the Hons. J. Paterson (Otago), G. Buckley (Canterbury), and H. R. Russell (Hawke’s Bay), have forfeited their seats in the Legislative Council, in consequence of being absent for a lengthened period without leave. The authorities are engaged making inquiries into the matter and turning up records. The members of the Ministry will interview the Governor to-day to ascertain when they can be sworn in.
