THE COMET. CITY TRAMWAYS. [Per Press Association.] Auckland, August 12. Mr. Stevenson, F.A.A.S., reports sighting a comet, which is probably identical with the comet reported from Sydney a few days ago. The City Tramways commenced running here to-day. The Northern gum-diggers are organizing an agitation regarding the gum leases question. The Triumph was successfully docked yesterday. Wellington, August 12. Mr. Fisher, the Mayor, is improving in health.
