Small-Pox.

(Per Press Association.) Napier, August 7. At a meeting of the Board of Health last night, a letter was read from Dr. Jackson at the quarantine station, stating that the patient was progressing favorably. The Mayor said it was intended to release the hospital from quarantine as soon as it was known that all the persons there had been vaccinated successfully. The Mayor read the following telegram from the Premier: — “ Major Atkinson sends you his best thanks for the prompt and very judicious steps you have taken in the matter of the small-pox patient, and hopes the results may be as successful as they deserve. He has no suggestions to make where everything possible seems to have been done.”
