The Liberal and Conservative organisations are now prosecuting an active campaign in London and the provinces in connection with the Franchise Bill. BANKING RETURN. The English, Scottish, and Australian Chartered Bank has declared a dividend for the past half-year at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum, and carries forward, and places to the reserve, £20,000. THE KING AND HIS COURTIERS. King Tawhiao and the members of the Maori Embassy will have an interview with Her Majesty the Queen to-day at Osborne. The cargo of frozen mutton on board the ship Wellington from Lyttelton, has been examined and found to be in poor condition, the carcases not having been properly prepared for shipment. CHOLERA IN RUSSIA. St. Petersburg, July 30. Cholera, of a mild type, has appeared in this city, and cases have also occurred at Charkoff, in Southern Russia.
