The Parihaka Meeting.
[Per Press Association.] Wellington, July 20. Mahuki and 25 Waikato natives arrived at Parihaka yesterday, and every day there are fresh arrivals. Te Whiti has not yet made any statement as to what line of action he will take, but Tohu says everything is now coming all right, and he will get back the land for the Natives, as the planting season is now approaching. It is considered likely that the Natives no\V assembled at will remain to put in crops, and as there is sure to be some turbulent Natives among the assemblage, it is thought that trouble may arise in their attempting to occupy the land of settlers. It is understood that no steps will be taken to disperse the Natives from Parihaka unless they commit a lawless action, one which might lead to bloodshed. The total number of Natives now at Parihaka is about 1,500.
