Hostilities in Madagascar.
BATTLE BETWEEN HOVAS AND FBENCH. [reuter’s telegrams.] London, July 26. . The Standard publishes a telegram to-day stating that a pitched battle has been fought between the Hovas and French troops in Madagascar, and that the attack of the latter was repulsed with considerable loss.
