[Reuter’s Telegrams.] Adelaide, July 11. Arrived this morning: The Messagres Maritimes Company’s steamship Salazie, from Marseilles, June 4th. Sydney, July 11. At to-days meeting of the Presbyterian Conference a resolution was adopted favoring the union of the Presbyterian churches in Australasia. At to-day’s sheep sales the prices realised were below the average. Sir William Jervois inspected the local defences, and works in progress, yesterday. His Excellency leaves for Melbourne to-day. Brisbane, July 11. The Address-in-Reply to the Governor’s Speech has been agreed to by both Houses of Parliament. Melbourne, July 12. It is announced that Mr. James Service, the Premier, has been offered a Knighthood. The banquet, given by the Government, in the Parliament House last evening, to celebrate the arrival of the Victorian gunboats, and the inauguration of the new defence system, was largely attended, over 200 guests being fpresent. The event passed off with great eclat. The small pox patients at the hospital are progressing satisfactorily towards recovery.
