[Reuter’s Telegrams.] Melbourne, June 23. General Mclver, who some time back endeavored to organise in England an expedition to New Guinea, is now in Melbourne, and offers to carry out a project on behalf of the Australian Government. He had an interview on Saturday with Mr. Service, but the Premier declined the General’s proposal.
