[by electric telegraph—copyright.] [Reuter’s Telegrams.] THE SMALL POX. Melbourne, April 17. It is not probable that the paesengers per s.s. Rome will be subjected to a fortnight’s quarantine, as it is expected ten days will be sufficient. THE MARCHIONESS OF NORMANBY. Lady Normanby is again seriously indisposed, and the departure of the Vice-regal party for Sydney has therefore been postponed until Monday next. Later.—The Marchioness of Normanby is still weak, but the viceregal party will leave by the Liguria for Sydney to-morrow, if her ladyship is able to travel. Tawhiao is keeping in strict seclusion here. THE SMALL-POX CASE. The Board of Health have decided to release the passengers by the steam ship Rome from quarantine, on the 24th inst., if no further cases of small-pox occur.
