The advices state that the natives burnt the Hernehein Company’s trading station at Nousa, and murdered Captain Moeller and all the crew of the schooner Moeokoe. Subsequently the vessel was destroyed by fire. The German corvette Hytene has since visited the scene of the outrage, and shelled a native villiage, killing six of the inhabitants. ALLEGED LIBEL. Brisbane, March 28. The trial of the Brisbane Courier for the publication of alleged libels upon the members of the Legislative Assembly in articles commenting upon the proceedings of the Elections and Qualifications Committee, will commence on April 5. IMPOSING CEREMONY. Melbourne, March 27. A grand Masonic ceremony took place in the Melbourne Town Hall yesterday, when Sir William Clark was installed District Grand Master of the English Constitution. Fully three thousand Masons were present. In the evening a levee and banquet were held at the Town Hall, attended by 1,100 people. The whole of the days’ proceedings passed off with great eclat.
