[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.] [Reuter’s Telegrams.] THE COLLISION BETWEEN THE WAIRARAPA AND ADELAIDE. Melbourne, March 13. The Victorian Navigation Board have written to Dunedin to ascertain the nature of the enquiry held there into the collision between the Wairarapa and Adelaide. The Board wish to know whether its own proposed enquiry is invalidated by the official enquiry held at Dunedin. SERIOUS FIRE. Adelaide, March 13. By a fire at Chance’s jam works, in this city, the whole of the premises were destroyed, and the loss is set down at £lO,OOO. CRICKET MATCH. March 14. A cricket match was commenced here yesterday between the Australian Eleven on the way to England, and a South Australian team. Tire latter went in first, and at the close of the day’s play had scored 131 runs with five wickets down. The match was resumed this morning.
