Owing to the extremely wet weather, the unfinished cricket-match between the Australian Eleven and the Victorian team has been abandoned. THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS. March 12 It is now finally settled that Spofforth joins the Australian team of cricketers. The latter proceeded to Adelaide yesterday, and leaves there for England by the P. and O. s.s. Sutlej on Saturday. The interim agricultural statistics of Victoria show the yield to date has been 13,000,000 bushels, an average of 13-89 bushels per acre. It is estimated that the total yield for the season will amount to 15,000,000 bushels. DEATH AT SEA. Sydney, March 11. On Saturday last an Auckland passenger named Thompson died on the Wairarapa (which has arrived here), and was buried at sea. THE WATERLOO TRADE GY. March 12 AU the prisoners arrested in connection with the Waterloo tragedy have been acquitted. Heavy rain has fallen over a large part of the country districts.
