In the Legislative Assembly last night a re&oluaon was passed imposing increased duties on tobacco, according to the announcement made in the Treasurer’s Budget Statement. A motion, introduced by Mr. Copeland, in favor of the imposition of an ad valorem duty of 10 per cent, on certain specified articles was negatived by 42 to 13. INCENDIARISM. Adelaide, March 6. Another supposed incendiary fire occur’ed last night at Norwood and resulted in the destruction of Casey’s coach-building factory. The premises were insured in the New Zealand Insurance Company for £l,OOO. Melbourne, March 7. A cricket-match between the Australian Eleven visiting England and a fifteen of Victoria was commenced here to-day.
