B. M. COURT, GISBORNE.
(Before A. Graham, and W. Common, Esqs., J.Ps.) THURSDAY. Henry Warren and J. Silk were each brought up charged, on the information of M”. John Bourke, Town Clerk, with a breach of “ The Dog Registration Act, 1880,” section 4, by keeping an unregistered dog above the age of six months. The defendants pleaded guilty and were each fined 10s., together with ss. costs. FRIDAY. DRUNKENNESS. Hemi Tutoko and Kariana Tutoko were brought up charged by the police with the above offence. The male prisoner pleaded
guilty, and they were fined respectively £1 and 55., or in default forty-eight and twentyfour hours’ imprisonment. JACOBS V. JACKSON. Claim £B. Mr. Kennedy appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. H. J. Finn for the defence. On the application of the former gentleman the case was adjourned for a week. FINN V. HARRIES. Claim, £ll 15s. lOd. Mr. Kenny for the plaintiff explained that this was an action to recover a solicitor’s account for drawing deeds of lease, &c, Mr. Finn Mr. Joyce having proved the indebtedness, judgment was given for the full amount and costs, £2 2s. Several other cases were enlarged, and the Court then adjourned.
