Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report.—At the Haymarket, on Friday last, fodder ranged from 2s. 6d. to 4s. the cwt.; oaten chaff, £5 2s. 6d. the ton; oats, 2s. 3d. to 2s. 9d. the Bushel; white clover, lOd. the lb. Horse Stock were yarded in full number, principally of medium strength. There was a good enquiry throughout the sale, and prices showed considerable improvement over late markets. At the Hide, Skin, and Wools Sale on Tuesday, hides sold higher than for some time past. Good quality ranged up to 4d. the lb.; butchers’ bones, £4 10s. the ton ; tallow, 265. to 295. the cwt.; sheepshins, Bd. to 2s. lOd. each ; small parcels of wool, from sd. to sgd. thy lb. At I’apakura, on Wednesday, there was a small muster of stock only, for which usual prices were given. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy-cattle were numerous, and good cattle w*ere in demand. Store-cattle were dull of sale; fat-cattle were in usual number, and last week’s values were fully maintained, best quality bringing 21s. per 100 lbs. Sheep were in shorter supply than usual, and a slight improvement in value was obtained for withers, but ewes were »o better worth. Lambs of prime quality were better worth, but unless very good were at last week’s values. Store and young pigs were in brisk demand at improved values. The averages were:—Sixteen steers, A. Bruce, Sutton, <tB 6s. 3d. ; 1 steer, Taylor, £8 12s. 6d.; 22 steers, E. B. Walker, £7 10s. ; 8 steers, Grice and Parker. £7 165.; 240 wethers, Auckland Agricultural Company. 14s. Cd. ’
