, The cricket-match between the Australian Eleven and the Combined Team was resumed here yesterday, when the lat + er continued their second innings with four wickets down and 42 runs to their credit. The remaining wickets fell rapidly, and the whole were disposed of for a total of 113. Giffen, for the Austra’ian Eleven, bowled splendidly and took all the wickets. The Australian Eleven, requiring 19 runs to win the match, then commenced their second innings, and scored 20 with the loss of one wicket, thus winning by 9 wickets. The following are the total scores : —Australian Eleven : First innings, 318 ; second, 20—338. Combined Team : First innings, 222 ; second, 113—335. Melbourne, Feb. 19. The following are the latest odds on the race for the Champion Stakes to be run at the V.R.C. Autumn Meeting on March 8 :— Martini Henry, even ; Commotion; 3 to 1 ; Off Color, 5 to 1 ; Sardii? j, 7 to 1.
