[Per Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] [Reuter’s Telegrams.] London, Jan. 80. A banquet was given last evening by the London Chamber of Commerce, at which the Colonial Agents-General were present. In responding to the toast of “ The Colonies,” Sir Arthur Blyth, Agent-General for South Australia, said that he rejoiced at the increasing interest in the Colonies which is now displayed throughout the Mother Country, and he emphatically affirmed the unwavering loyalty of the Colonists to the Imperial authority. The sum of £400,000 in gold has been withdrawn from the Bank of England for Australia. San Francisco, Jan. 30. The mails from Australia and New Zealand which left Auckland per City of Sydney on Jan. 8, arrived here yesterday—one day before contract time. Berlin, Jan. 30. The Emperor of Germany has recovered from his late indisposition.
