A fearful hurricane has passed over England and caused an immense destruction of property, the havoc in some places being complete. Numerous wrecks have occurred on the Coast, and it is feared great loss of life has resulted. Cairo, Jan. 28. Colonel Gordon started to-day for Khartoum to assume the Governorship of the Soudan.
