TE AROHA MINING NEWS.

Te Aboha, Jan. 22. Things are exceedingly quiet here. Very little mining work is being carried on, and that little is being done by contracts. The impression here now is that the companies do do not care to resume work until more satisfactory arrangements can be made with the Battery Company in reference to the treatment of the tailings, for, until all the gold can be obtained from the tailings, it will not pay some of the companies to continue crushing as they have been.
