The Argus to-day, alluding to Lord Normanby’s departure, warmly eulogises the manner in which he has filled the position of Governor. Adelaide, Jan. 19. The Earl and Countess of Roseberry are now in this city, eu route for England. The market is quiet and irregular, and quotations are nominal. Wheat is quoted at 4s. to 4s. Id. per bushel. Flour is dull; town brands, £10; country do., £9 to £9 ss. Freights to London—Steamers, 455.; sailing, 355.; freights to United Kingdom from Adelaide for cereals, 355.; freights to the United Kingdom from outports, 375. 6d. to 40s. Freights are firm, but charters are unsettledSydney, Jan. 19. New Zealand wheat is quoted at 3s. 6d. per bushel • New Zealand oats, 3s. sd. (sack); maize, 4s. 6d. Sugar Company’s No. 1 pieces are at £34 per ton.
