Kerford, delegates to the Victoria late International Conference at Sydney, have returned to this city. Major Atkinson is also in Melbourne at the present time. Sydney, Det. 8. The session of Inter-colonial Convention closed at noon to-day. Most of the delegates leave Sydney this afternoon. At the final meeting this morning, Sir George De Veoux’s motion for preventing unrestricted purchase of land in New Guinea and the Pacific Islands was adopted, and a resolution proposed by Mr. Whitaker that criminals should be prohibited from landing in the Australian Colonies was also carried.
