At the Appeal Court to-day, judgments were given in the following cases :—Wellington Corporation v. Roberts, judgment for defendant. Aruni Wata v. Grice (Auckland) ; appeal dismissed, with costs on highest scale. Mr Bell applied for and obtained leave to appeal to the Privy Council. In Russell v. Sheehan (Jlapier), three separate judgments were read. Justice Johnston was of opinion that the appeal ought to be dismissed with costs, while Justices Gillies and Williams thought the decree of the Court below should be affirmed.
