We understand that Mr C. D. Berry and Mr A. F. Hardy met with a very sad accident whilst out driving on Saturday. It appears that the bolt connecting the shafts with the body of the trap came out, and the consequence was that the occupants and buggy was precipitated over to the side of the road. Mr C. D. Berry sustained some slight injuries in Hie shape of bruises ; but we are sorry to say Mr Hardy’s injuries were of a more serious nature, as he is supposed to have broken several ribs and his collar bone, besides severe Li uises and cuts about the head.
