Tttr Ancient Order of Foresters in these Colonies have 80 lodges and 5,052 members, i with a capital of £59,259 18s sd, being a’ little less than £lO per member. The foregoing includes Court William Gladstone, Gisborne, which has 65 members, with a total worth of £36118s lOd ; equal to £5 12s 2d per member. The Ancient Order of Shepherds has 2 lodges and 79 members j total worth £314 9s J Id. The Ancient Order of Druids has 23 lodges with 1,622 members, and a total capital of £3,372 Us lid. The Loyal United Friends Benefit Society has one lodge of 51 members, with a capital of £2OO ss. Independent Order of Rechabitee, with 29 lodges, and 926 members, has a capital of £7.229 13s sd. Sons and Daughters of Temperance, 7 lodges, 363 members, and £2,829 6s Id capital. Hibernian Ausiralasian Catholic Benefit Society 6 lodges, 428 members, and a capital of £3.200 19s Ud. The New Zealand Hibernian Catholic Benefit Society with 6 lodges and a capital of £BO7 16s lid. > The Protestant Alliance Friendly Society a of Australasia with 8 lodges, 351 members, fl and a capital of £1.309 17s 93. fl Two Rj.ilway Benefit Societies with 301 members, capital £1,645 15s 9d, and two Isolated Local Societies, with 97 members and a capital of £4OO 8s lOd. The grand total number of members in Friendly Societies is 19,353, who have a totd vested capital of £234 935 Ils 3d.
