GAS COMPANY.
At a meeting of the Provisional Directors of the Gisborne Gas Company held yesterday evening it was resolved to at once order the plant and to expedite matters so that the works si all be erected to furnish a supply of gas io the town by next winter, The order has been entrusted to Messrs T. & S. Morrin and Companv, of Auckland, which is a sufficient guarantee that a first class plant will be supplied. Mr Piesse was appointed Secretary to the Companv as a recognition of the untiring interest he has taken in promoting the enterprise. The time for closing the share list was extended to the 10th proximo, so as to allow those who hare not already applied for shares an opportunity of doing so.
