INTERCOLONIAL EXHIBITION.
An Intercolonial Juvenile Industrial Exhibition will be opened at Paramatta on the 19th of December. The classes of exhibitors will be as follows ; Section A—Under 18 years of age ; Section B—Under 15 years of age ; Section O—Under 18 years of age ; Section D—Under 21 years of age ; Section E—Apprentices, any age, and improvers to 23 years of age ; Section F—non-competing exhibitors. The classification of exhibits are as follows : —Group I—Writing, Ornamental, Penmanship, Pencil Drawing, Mapping, 40. ; Group 2—Plum and fancy needlework of all kinds; Group 3.—Ornamental and fancy work in wool. Leather, Paper, &c. ; Group 4— Machinery, models of same, ; Group 5— Work in tnetals, as Blacksmiths, Whitesmiths, Tinsmiths, Ac., cas'ings and fittings in Iron, Bra*s, Copper. Zinc, &c.; Group 6— Agricultural and other implements, models of same, &c.; Group 7—Woiks in stone, marble cement, brick, and models of buildings &c. j Group 8— Carpen ten ng, joining, turning, toys, basketware, .\c ; Group 9 —Works in leather, harness, saddles and bridles,, boots and shoes, &c. ; Group 10—Textile fabrics, spun aud raw silks, &c.: Group 11—Brushware, rope, mats, &c. ; Group 12 —Printing, L'thograpliing, engraving, Bookbinding, etc.; Group 13 —lnstruments of every descriptionin metal, glass, or other material, glassware, terra-cotta ware, etc.; Group 14—Wheel* w righto, body makers, and turners work, models and diagrams, etc.: Group 15 — Boat building, models of vessels, yachts, apparatus, etc.; Group 16—Graining, guilding, sign and decorative painting, etc. ; Group 17— Articles of food and domestic cookery, preserves, condiments, cordials, etc.; Group 18— Mechanical and architectural drawing, civil engineering, etc. ; Group 19— Collections and devices in shells, mosses, dried terns, marinilla, birds, reptiles, insects, or any natural productions; Group 20—Plants grown by exhibitors, waruiau cases, etc. ; Group 21—Essays, original compositions—musical or otherwise ; Group 22—Articles not otherwise enumerated. A gold medal wi.l be awarded to the exhibitor whoso work shows the greatest amount of welldirected industry ; and a gold medal will be arwarded to the exhibitor whose work shows the greatest amount of orignality of conception All the other prizes will consist of silver and bronze medals and certificates, besides which there will be special prizes arwarded in several groups. Intending exhibitors can obtain all necessary information and particulars on application to our office.
