RATHER PECULIAR.
[TO the EDITOR.} S!B>—May I, through your columns, draw attention to what savors of being peculiar in nonnection with the local Public Library. A •übacnber u not allowed to take two books out at a time, but may have two volumes of the same book. There being no catalogues, It is not always possible to select a suitable work at a moment’s notice, and readers are often inconvenienced by taking out a book which they do not care for, but cannot change immediately, I think the committee might just M well allow out two different wotke as two volumes of the same work, ft would be i convenience to readers to do so. 1 *"»» «•> A.A.G.
