Tuesday. [Before J. Booth, Esq., R.M.j Drunkenness. I Hirini Whakatuka was charged, on the ; I information of Constable Wilson, with the i above offence whilst in charge of a horse on I the 30th July last. The prisoner pleaded guilty, and was I fined 20s, in default 48 hours imprisonment. Rees, Wi Pere and others v. M. J. There was no appearance of the plaintiffs. Mr Greenwood stated that £37 had been paid into Court and confession signed for £l4 18s Bd, which covered the amount claimed. Mr McDougall, for tho defendant, asked that the case might be put down to the bottom of the list, which was accordingly done, but the case was ultimately adjourned until the 3rd August. Saru.ood & Ewen v. S. J. R. S. Bromley. Adjourned by the Court for one month. T. Christeneen v. J. Ashdown. After hearing the defendant his Worship ordered him to pay £1 by Saturday week, and the balance three weeks after that date. In default of payment 1 week’s imprisonment. Dufaur & Co. v. S. J. R. 3. Bromley. Judgment summons adjourned to 28th August. Wednesday. William Ashmore was brought up and charged on the information of James Clayson, that he did on the 31st day of July, use foul and abusive language as to provoke a breach of the peace.
