PATUTAHI BALL.

A ball was held in the public room, Patutahi, on Friday night last. About forty couples were present, and the dancing was kept up till six o’clock the next morning. The music of Mr. Crawford was much appreciated, whilst the catering of Mr. and Mrs. Stevens was beyond praise. Mr. J. Cooper acted as M.C. Great praise is due to Messrs C. Hill, Houghton, and Mrs. Sunder land, for their efforts in making the thing a success. The whole thing proved such an unparalled success, that the Committee feel justified in repeating the ball every month, and we likewise understand that Mr. Crawford has been encouraged to hold a weekly terpsichorian class at Patutahi.—[Communicated,]
