TRUST COMMISSIONERS' COURT
Before J. Booth Esq. Trust Commissioner. (Monday, June 18th). WAIRAU AND WHARAURANGI BLOCK. This was an application on the part of Robert Cooper for the Trust Commissioner’s signature to a deed of sale of the interests Harata Poiwa in the above block, to the said Robert Cooper. Mr Brassey appeared for the applicant. Mr Kenny appeared for the objectors— Read’s Trustees, Rees and Wi Pero. After a great deal of conflicting evidence had been heard, the Commissioner refused his signature at present on the ground of inadequate consideration. Upon Mr Brassey’» application, the case was again adjourned to July 2nd. The two other applications — Tanowiro and Takopa Blocks, from Wikiioria te Haaka to Pimia Ata ; and Maraetaha Block, from Maori Pani to J. W. Johnson, will be signed on Monday next.
