Tvksdat, June 12th. [Before His Worship the Mayor, and A, Graham, Esq., J.P.] BOLTON V. LEGGATT. Adjourned till Tuesday next. DUFAUR AND CO. V. OWNERS OF S.S. ORETL Claim £l2 13s 9d. Judgment for amount, with costs, £2 10s. 9 WATTS, V. HONI RURU, Enlarged until Tuesday next, NEGLK V. CALDWELL, Claim £l3 10s Bd. Judgment for defendant without costs. During the hearing of this case the question arose as to whether or not the service of a summons held good up to 12 o’clock on Saturday night. The Clerk of the Court, Mr G. L. Greenwood, expressed a wish to have this point settled, as he had always understood that such service was perfectly legitimate. The objection being waived, the point was, unfortunately, left in statu quo. BROWN V. POPATU. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, £2 Is WATTH d. RATAPU. Claim £5 18s gd. Judgment for £5 9s sd, with costs. Wednesday, June 13. There was only one case at the Court. One of the disciples of Bacchus, having too freely offered at the shrine, was mulcted of 20s. as a small tribute to the Colonial Exchequer.
