(BY CABLE,— REUTRR’B TELEGRAMS). MELBOURNE, March 9. The return match between Ivo Bllgh's team and eleven of Victoria commenced today. The Victorians went first to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn the score stood at 213, with 6 wickets down. The highest contributions were : Bonnor, 54; Scott, 29; Horan, 37; Midwinter, 55 (not out). The bowling and fielding of the Englishmen was excellent. The weather was fine during the day, and there was a very large attendance of spectators. SYDNEY, March 9. The Austral has been stripped of the coffer dam and is now ready for docking. The sculling contest for the Championship takes place at Grafton to-morrow, between Rush and Laycock. The latter is favorite.
