(BY CABLE.—REUTER'S TELEGRAMS). SYDNEY, Feb. 9. The return Intercolonial Cricket match between the New South Wales and Victorian Teams, commenced here to-day. The latter went in first, and at the conclusion of the day’s play had scored 274 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. The highest scorers were Bonnor 42, and McDonald 01. New Zealand wheat 4s. per bushel; New Zealand Oats, 2s 6d (.n'c); Maize, per bushel, 4s 4d. Sugar Company’s No. 1 pieces per ton, £35. Arrived, last night, P.M.S. Australia, from ’Frisco, via Auckland. The vessel was ordered into quarantine on her arrival, an infant on board having been attacked with sickness, the nature of which was doubtful. It was this morning pronounced to be chicken pox, and the Australia has been granted pratique. BRISBANE, Feb. 9. On her last voyage to this port the steamship Corea was caught in a severe gale ; the d -cks were swept, and three seamen were drowned, MELBOURNE, Feb. 10. At Beauford last night, Mr Francis Longmore addressed a largely attended meeting of electors. He was accorded an enthusiastic reception, the people rising en masse, and singing the National Anthem.
