Sin,—l, with others, was thankful that you drew the attention of the intending candidates to the necessity of meeting the ratepayers, and of explaining their views upon subjects of importance to the Municipality. Mr Adair having an advantage over She other candidates by having previously been * councillor, and holding a high reputation as a thorough business man, and who, a* all know, is possessed of no inconsiderable amount of natural ability, aa well aa a keen and clear insight into the intricacies of monetary transactions should, I think, take the initiatory step, and, without further delay, convene a meeting of the ratepayers to hoar the expression of the several candidates, aad I trust he will do so.—l am, 4c., •• One or Them.”
